偶然间听到这歌曲，首先被前奏略带哀伤的悠扬小提琴吸引，随后男歌手轻悠真挚的嗓音使得这支歌成了我近来的钟爱。在极品上搜到有关背景：
"You Raise Me Up" 是Secret Garden神秘园2002年第四张大碟“Once in a red moon”的主打曲，由该乐队Rolf Lovland作曲，并邀请了爱尔兰小说家和词作家Brendan Graham，共同打造的一首励志和感恩的歌曲，已经在世界各地用不同语言录制了125次以上。这个版本是由Fionnuala Sherry小提琴独奏的引领下，由“爱尔兰音乐大使”Brian Kennedy以独具震撼力的嗓音给与歌曲淋漓尽致的诠释，也是我最喜欢的版本。

夜不成眠，于是和着清晨的虫鸣鸟叫一遍又一遍地听这歌。从歌曲本身看，似乎更偏向于宗教歌曲，对于那些真的相信有神明存在的人们，强大有力的精神信仰无疑会是raise me up的巨大力量。而对于我们尚未皈依任何宗教的无产主义者，可借以鼓舞信心和激励斗志的无疑是周围的人：亲人、朋友、同学、陌生人甚至敌人。每个人都有无数个暗中相助的“贵人”，苏东坡有欧阳修赏识提拔、刘若英有张艾嘉慧眼识珠，给予她比奶茶对自己更多的信任、我有几个闺蜜和几个好友，可以在倦怠低落时求以援手。有的时候只有自己信任自己尚且不足以成动力，况且时常会遗失了那份自信，这时只要一个声音、几行字、一个微笑、些许鼓励，便会有了继续向前向上的力量。这些对于我是无比受用的能量，也希望自己会将这能量传递给周围。
