The first time I read Dr. Marc J. Rosenberg’s book was E-Learning: Strategies for Delivering Knowledge in the Digital Age in the school library one year ago before I officially joined the IDT field. It is the first book I read about E-learning.
Knowing nothing about IDT and E-learning at that time, I was very impressed with the ideas like portol, knowledge management, etc. From that moment on, my interest about E-learning was greatly triggered because I saw where E-learning’s meaning lies in.
Accidentally reading this article about What Lies Beyond E-learning, the second book by Dr. Marc J. Rosenberg, delighted me. The second book explains more about the trends and development about E-learning, especially in the corporate world. Here are six main ideas from the book.
1.
E-learning will become more than "e-training."
2.
E-learning will move to the workplace.
3.
Blended learning will be redefined.
4.
E-learning will be less course-centric and more knowledge-centric.
5.
E-learning will adapt differently to different levels of mastery.
6.
Technology will become a secondary issue.
I think I may get a chance to read that book; however, I’m sure if I have the extra money to buy it.
