什么是研究性学习？("Learning as Research" or "Research as Learning"?)

What is English for '研究性学习'?

We may understand '研究性学习' from different perspectives and thus the term can be translated in different ways. 'Learning as research' is closer to the Chinese original expression. My choice 'research as learning' is intended to stress the process as one of inquiry. We take the operation of the course as the process of research that is to build up our learning experiences.
